New Reviews Section Online Now!
Greetings, CityLife readers! While most of this page is boring, personal drivel (because the web doesn't have enough of that), There is some great information on the rest of the site. Step right this way to my Reviews of Just About Everything

Buy cool X-10 gear through the above link! Also check out my X-10 Page for more information on how to automate your house/apartment easily and affordably.

This really is one of the coolest things out there! If you have one phone line, anyone who calls when you're online can automatically roll over to your Pagoo voice mail (with "Call Forwarding on Busy" from the telco). Then the Pagoo pager on your desktop will "page" you and play their voice message! At $3.95-$4.95 a month, it's cheap, too! Click through above and give it a test drive!

Gecko Packs Up and Heads West
Yup, it's true folks, after six years working at Shoji's, I could no longer deal with the Administrative Ass Jonda, so I parolled myself on February 19, 1999. I now work for Siegfried and Roy at The Mirage. I should make the same amount of money that I made from Shoji's in six years in four years or less working around 40 hours a week. Life is a pretty, sweet fruit!
For more information about the area visit LasVegas.com.
Then, there are these pages: The Coolest Thing to Happen to Me in Las Vegas, the view from the top of the Stratosphere, and some scenic Las Vegas photos.
If I knew more about gambling and wanted to make a website, Cheapo Vegas is what I would create! Wait, someone's already made it...

Contact the Gecko
You can contact me from two different email addresses. Those of you who know me by name and can remember how to spell it should use the address which is firstname@lastname.com Yup, that is a pretty neat trick. If you are interested in getting your final email address at an amazingly low cost ($10 per year for email, $20 for web hosting, plus $20 setup), visit Mailbank and see if your name is still available!
Mailbank recently raised their prices dramatically.
Web hosting is now an additional $20 per year. Glad I got in when everything was only $5!
Those of you who know me by my ham radio callsign, can email me at kc0erg@qsl.net or

About the Gecko...
I'm a 1989 graduate of Harrison (Arkansas) High School, a laser technician, and have a profound interest in reptiles of all types and naturalistic vivaria. No, I don't currently own any geckos, but that shall be changing soon with the addition of day geckos, leopards, and fat tails!
I'm a Coherent certified Field Service Technician for the Innova 70 and Innova 400 series of ion gas lasers...which is a pretty BFD if you've got a $57,000 laser which doesn't work.
Hobbies, hobbies, hobbies....
· My latest fascination! This photo is from the 1999 America's Cup Regatta held at Ivanpah dry lakebed in Primm, Nevada. Chip Christensen and I landsailed for the time at Ivanpah the week before this photo was taken. Since Chip is a sailor, he took right to one of the single seat Mantas. It's been forever since I sailed, so I went out in a two seater similar to the one two from the right. (It may be the same one.) It was a blast! Afterwards, I took out the single seater for some hair raising fun! Thirty miles per hour with your butt six inches off the ground seems more like sixty! I got a bit of a sunburn while the folks back home had 14" of snow on the ground. More action pictures are on this page.
sells Mantas, high performance kites, and all kinds of windtoys. Check them out and be sure to tell them that I sent you!
· I would be remiss to omit Disc Golf from the list of places to put all that extra money! Heh. It's actually fairly affordable with discs costing about $7. A driver, approach, and a putter are all you really need until you figure things out.
That said, I'm up to eleven discs, a disc golf bag, and am just a tad better than the day I started. It's just as frustrating and entertaining as golf, but not nearly as expensive...and you don't have to wear those stupid pants!
Las Vegas Disc Golf is a good reference for flying things in the valley. It's a combination of physics: moments, spin, grips, leverage. Juliana Korver Brower has a great set of pages about the whole schebang.
is now on the air!
Look for me to be monitoring the various repeaters throughout the valley. I'm a member of the Kimberling City Amateur Radio Club.
Yes, I know...I have a lot of hobbies for someone with little free time.
Rockets, big honkin' rockets!
I received a request for a few sound files of big rocket motors and other information. While compiling all of that, I ended up with enough to deserve its own Rocketry webpage. This has morphed from one simple page to a great big framed conglomeration with my first ever Shockwave Flash files!
Reptiles
Wooo hooo! My Mali Uromastyx page is a hit! More details, care information, and links coming soon! If you don't see what you need, send email and I'll be glad to help you out.
The page about the former
centerpiece of my terrarium draws a few visitors. Now, all of the lovely airplants are dead, but that's only a minor setback.
The coolest reptile store I've ever seen is Rainwater Reptiles' new retail outlet. If you're ever in Las Vegas, plan to spend an hour here.
Well, OK, so this main page is mostly a links page, too....that's one thing which is slowly changing....because I keep adding more links.
