Bonito Michoacan is on Decatur and Twain even though the menu says "Jones". We dined there last night and can confirm that the food is exactly the same although the menu appears to be a bit bigger. I had a Combo Dinner #3: a chicken taco, beef enchilada, and pork/bean burrito with green sauce. It was every bit as wonderful as the original restaurant. That burrito might just be the best thing on the menu. It sure is my favorite item even after five trips.
Another aspect we really enjoy and just truly appreciated last night is their chips and dip. You get chips...*real* chips, bean dip, and a zippy salsa. It's just fantastic. The chips are hearty and full of corn flavor unlike some other places which serve thin, wimpy scoops for the salsa. You don't have to worry about breaking a chip in the beans here, that's for sure.
They've been running a "Buy One, Get One Half Off. Mon-Thurs only, holidays excluded" coupon in the LVRJ.
As always, highly, highly recommended. In fact, if you like Mexican food and don't visit, you're denying yourself a great gastronomic pleasure in life. We reckon that you might not really like Mexican food. Also, as always, I cannot be held responsible for shoe prints on your butt after you kick yourself for not visiting sooner!
