Las Vegas’ Natural Beauty

A few photos from my voyages around the valley. The very high resolution versions are quite large for JPG files and may take awhile to download on slower connections since the average size is about 330K. Better scans and compressions will be posted when my computer is out here in a couple of weeks. A few of the pictures need to be reprinted since I discovered a few flaws which are quite noticable in the larger pictures.

Colorado River Sunset · My first sunset in the desert. This is the Colorado River just south of Hoover Dam.

· Red Rock Canyon about 12 minutes from Angel Park. It's amazing that such pure beauty is only minutes away from downtown Sin City.

· Note the size of the people on the hill in the foreground! They are actually about a quarter mile away from the rock.

· I like the contrast of the actual beauty of the calico rocks to the desolate beauty of the desert floor.

· Angel Park Golf Course with some wonderful clouds coming down the mountain.
